Mall of the Emirates
Dubai
Mall of the Emirates is a shopping mall in Dubai. The shopping centre is one of the largest shopping malls in the world. The 4-storey shopping centre currently has more than 630 shops, 7900 parking spaces, more than 100 restaurants and cafés, 80 luxury shops and 250 flagship stores. It has a total gross rentable area of 36,000 m². The Mall of the Emirates is not only popular among the people who live in Dubai, even tourists will love to come to the Mall of the Emirates. They do this mainly for the varied range of shops and appreciate the spectacular canopy in the heart of the centre that meets in an impressive 12-story dome-shaped skylight, but also to admire the indoor ski slope with their own eyes.
The project was initially started in October 2003 at an estimated cost of 195 million euros and was completed in 2005. In 2015 the shopping centre undertook a large-scale renovation, with a second taxi rank being added along with a store expansion for an additional 40 retailers.
